St. Joseph Congregation

St. Joseph inspired Murialdo his entire life long. Therefore, it was to this Saint that he chose to dedicate the Congregation which he founded on March 19, 1873. St. Joseph is the model from whom the members of the Congregation of St. Joseph draw their characteristic orientation: prompt obedience to the Father's will in a spirit of faith; the evangelical choice of a poor, hidden, laborious life in Christ; reverential love in the "Christian education of poor, orphaned or abandoned youth"; a family spirit which is lived in humility, charity and openness to all, especially the most lowly; a commitment to the professional formation of young workers. They foster great trust in St. Joseph, traditionally invoking him as "our saint".

They entrust themselves to him for the solution of every problem and entrust their home, their youths and the entire Congregation to his protection. They consider the spread of his veneration within the Church to be a special duty of theirs. more...

www.BambinidAfrica.it

www.BambinidAfrica.it is a great photos collection dedicated to African Children created by Lorenzo dell'Uva. A particular thanks to Lorenzo for giving us the possibility to use his pictures insiede our website.

Traveling in Africa is a fascinating experience. Probably what makes this continent unique is the unbelievable number of children that live here.
Children happy and proud, joyful, sad, funny and curious. Children asking for presents, children asking for food, children offering smiles and astonishment. Children pretty and desperately poor. I do hope that these photos can transmit, even a little of bit, of the emotion of being among them. The photos in these pages were shot during two long and beautiful trips in South Africa, Swaziland, Lesotho, Niger, Burkina Faso, Mali and Senegal. Without the patience and the company of many friends these photos, simply, could not exist.

www.BambinidAfrica.it is supporting some no-profit organizations like : AMREF, Medici senza frontiere e Emergency. more...
